 - At Calle Ocho you can experience the vibrancy of South America. Everything from the fantastic food to the atmosphere transports you to another place. The restaurant is much larger than it seems from the front. While energetic Latin music plays, you'll dine in a spacious room with high ceilings, brightly painted terra cotta walls, and oversize lampshades. The menu is exquisite and focuses on seafood, though there's something for everyone, including vegetarians. The ceviche is fresh and flavorful and the plaintains, arepas, and empanadas do not disappoint. All of the dishes are unique and packed with flavor and the mojitos are outstanding. The weekend brunch with its bottomless sangria bar (with 8 varieties of the potent punch) is popular, so reserve early. Calle Ocho in the Excelsior Hotel
