- I had dinner at the bar last night at Gina La Fornarina. The maitre d'went out of his way to recommend the tuna meatball entree - which either means it's great, or nobody's ordering them and they need to sell some. I took him up on his suggestion and added an insalata caprese to my order for appetizer. The appetizer was great - plum tomatoes with chopped mozzarella. The entree was not spectacular. It was tasty, but with far too much breading. I had an outstanding ricotta cheesecake for dessert. I recommend Gina La Fornarina, as the food is pretty good ... the atmosphere is bright and nicely done ... and the waitstaff is attentive and accomodating.
